In 1980, Big Mama Recording Studios became the first American studio to produce and record Karaoke music. As a result, Big Mama has often been referred to as "The Pioneers of American Karaoke". After five years of producing and licensing music tracks to many of the major companies in the Karaoke Industry, TPC formed the Chartbuster Karaoke division to create, sell and distribute the Karaoke music products that they produce.

Starting humbly as a mail order company that advertised through classified ads and word of mouth referrals, Chartbuster has now grown into an established player in the Karaoke software industry. Their product line of Karaoke CDG's, introduced in March of 1997, has made Chartbuster the Karaoke CDG the choice among KJ's and Singers. Chartbuster continues to produce and release new titles, bringing you the Best in Country, Pop and Gospel Karaoke!
