There are perhaps few things more embarrassing than being taken out to a karaoke bar and made to sing in front of an expectant audience -- especially if you are tone deaf. A tone-deaf person lacks the ability to decipher between notes. Thus, a tone-deaf person is incapable of replicating them. In common parlance, tone deafness refers to a person's incapability of reproducing musical notes. However, contrary to popular opinion, such incapacity is a reflection of sheer lack of talent or musical training than any kind of ailment. Still, tone-deaf karaoke singers are an amusing lot. Tone-deaf karaoke can be absolute fun, especially if you are not the one on stage. Discordant notes and off-key vocals may not amuse the music aficionado, but for light hearted fun on a stress busting weekend, there is nothing more entertaining than listening to tone deaf karaoke singer.

However, there have been reports of tone-deaf people going into severe bouts of depression after their tryst with karaoke singing. Yet, they are not the only ones suffering from this malady. People with normal singing ability can be tone deaf on stage after having a drink too many and coerced into singing by their friends.

Nevertheless, advancement in technology guarantees help in all walks of life.
